Man did anyone see the Japan earthquake on tv.. or at least the footage.

It's pretty nuts! I saw boats with people on it colliding with other boats or hitting bridges.

A train with hundreds of people gone missing as if it just vanished.

That is one huge disaster and I think it's probably the worst we've seen in the last 10 yrs.

In fact they said the tsunami was going to head partly to us on the west coast. I know my power went out today, as all my clocks were flashing when I got home. And in the morning it was VERY windy and pouring rain. I thought my windows would shatter with the wind pressure.

Pretty freaky stuff lately going on in the world.... :sad

Just to maybe add on to this, the new york times has before and after pictures. There seem to be entire cities that are just gone. To think that all of this could happen in less than a week, that's really humbling in some respects. They speculate that it's going to take japan 5 years to recover from this disaster. 5 years to recover from something that happened in minutes. Nature is certainly a powerful force to reckon with.

Well the people in New Orleans are still trying to recover after years... The truth is you just never recover to the same state as you were before. Kinda like breaking a bone.. it heals, but it's never the same again.

I do feel bad for Japan. These guys went through hell and as a country still remained strong. Also brought us a lot of amazing things.

I do hope they have a quick recovery.

Yeah i can agree with that. It's probably never going to be the same Japan that it was after this. But maybe it will be better than it was? The good thing about change is that it leaves the possibility for anything to happen. Not to sound like this earthquake and tsunami was a good thing, just trying to find the good parts in the horrid disasters.
