Okay, so I am a bit confused.

Is there is a difference between a plug and play or recharge pack? I bought the elite version, and was assuming the controller came with a battery, Instead, they only put in the damn 2 AA batteries.. I thought it came with a regular battery?

Also, I got another controller and they said it has the plug and play with it? What does that mean? Does that mean it's supposed to have a battery too? I know my second controller came with a wire a optional wire I can connect and use. Can that wire recharge the controller as well?

I'm just a little confused with this battery pack stuff... *sigh one reason I envied PS3 was due to this issue...

the plug and play is a battery less controller/ what it is. you have a battery pack that comes with a cable that you hook into yoru controller and then into a usb port in your xbox. you charge it through yoru exbox. takes about 4 hours to have a ocmplete charge. then when it charges you just unhook it for wireless play ( you get about 24 hours out of one charge) or you can be lazy like me and just leave it plugge din almost all the time.

wheni got my xbox, i threw out the case that took actual batteries and boughta plug and play

Yeah, I'm not too fond of the AA batteries... too much to buy and throw out. Rechargable is nice or the wire might be nice too. Although, I have a bigscreen, so I don't want to sit too close and my couches and tv are fairly far apart.

I got an additional charger, which allows you to plug into an outlet and charge 1 battery at a time.
