More about TEKKEN 6
Spanning over a 14 year legacy, Tekken is among the most popular and well-known gaming brands in the world with the entire franchise selling more than 32 million units to date. Displayed in astonishing HD detail, a new era begins this fall in the sixth King of the Iron Fist Tournament complete with intense gameplay modes as well as new features and environments.

A must-have for Tekken aficionados, TEKKEN 6 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system, sees the return of many familiar faces as well as new characters to create the largest line-up the series has ever seen. With a growing roster of fighters, each equipped with their own deadly techniques, moves and attack combinations, TEKKEN 6 will be the best "King of Iron Fist Tournament" yet.

Featuring a new Scenario Campaign mode, players will be introduced to a unique hybrid control system combining conventional fighting game controls with free movement. This system will allow them to progress through the story and mow down hordes of enemies while still enjoying fighting game action either alone or cooperatively online. In addition to hand-to-hand fighting, players have an arsenal of staffs, machine guns, flame throwers, and even giant robots at their disposal - a first for the series. Adding to the already rich gaming experience, a deeper character customization feature will only further enhance the incredible fighting intensity as players go mano-y-mano. Players can also take the battle online for classic match-ups and to compete for world domination.

TEKKEN 6 will also be available for the PSP (PlayStation Portable) system this fall. Optimized for the PSP system, TEKKEN 6 will not only contain all the explosive action of its home console brethren but also feature additional stages, content, items, and an ad-hoc multiplayer mode.

I tried getting into the tournament then but I never successfully managed to. From what I followed up online, it was an interesting tournament.

This was one of the epic tournaments before e-sports tournaments became the biggest video games competition.
