Finally, I've figured out my computer's problem

I downloaded a diagnostics scan from the Maxtor website earlier, then created the floppy disk it needed. After running the scan, I finally know why my computer is giving me random Disk Boot Failures; my hard drive is dying.

My dad is supposed to talk to his friend about getting a new hard drive (he's the one who original owned this computer, so he helps me out with all of my hardware installations and the like ), so hopefully I won't have to go through this again.

Yeah, that was what we first thought (when we talked over MSN/AIM, don't remember which), wasn't it? Then we thought maybe it could be the RAM... but we were right with the first guess.
