Special duel mode on MGS3: Subsistence (aka Hell)

This mode on Subsistence is insane! I think I'm going to have to resort to cheats! That isn't something I normally do.... though I didn't get a Codebreaker for nothing. I just don't cheat unless a game starts to test my sanity. :weird: Except on GTA... I just cheat to have fun. I don't save the game after using cheats. Okay, I downloaded a 100% save for Vice City, I'll admit that... but I had already finished the story.

Anyway, I did my best on the Snake vs Ocelot Unit battle... but I couldn't get past 3rd place! I watched a video of someone getting 1st place, but it didn't look easy. Then there's The Pain. The Pain doesn't even give me the chance to defeat him within the time limit because he shields himself with hornets! It takes twice as long! I'm just not sure how or if I'll be able to do this.
Anyone else having trouble with this mode on Subsistence? Have an amazing trick to any of the battles that isn't insanely difficult to pull off? Think I should use cheats?

So... I guess you've finally given it a try, huh?
The camo is the DPM camo. If I've heard correctly, it's the best forest camo & it makes your life recover faster.

Fox, I'd say you should stick to it, and stand firm o_o Don't resort to cheats. Where there is truly nothing wrong with it....You didn't earn your reward. If you're cool with that, cheat on. But if you only want what you've earned, keep steady; you'll get it eventually ^_^

The thing is... I want to earn the items, but I don't know if I'll be able to do it. I got 3rd place vs Ocelot Unit... and I was doing my best! I mean I was REALLY doing my best. If I know that I just can't do it, then I don't want to never be able to use those items.... so I'll resort to cheats.

FYCN, I only did really good against The End out of luck. He shot at me and I shot at him, but I missed his head, so he still had a lot of life left. I moved and he stayed... so I was able to get a second shot on him. To my amazement, I actually got first place on that one. :eyepop: The Fury was kinda easy too. Three knife slash combos. The other bosses are just hell. I just don't think I can pass them with first place... this reminds me of when I tried to get all the emblems on Sonic Adventure 2: Battle! It seemed impossible and I never got it done!

XD damn... really... it almost makes me want to hide in a room and do nothing else until I finally complete it... in 20 years!
Seriously, I am wondering if I really can do this. I never did get all the emblems in SA2:B...

But here I go... I'm going to try again... not sure which battle, though.
I guess if it gets too annoying I can always watch some of the secret theater videos. Those are hilarious!

I'll probably use codes one of the next few times I play this game. Or I'll download a save. I want to have fun playing the game, not drive myself crazy! :weird:
