Some say that we are mere puppets in something great. Others say we are the puppeteers. Is it possible to be both? Maybe there is something going on that we fail to see. Maybe there is nothing at all. Whatever the case may be, we believe what we want to believe. This is human nature at its basic instinct. But what if I told you that we were really a body for something greater? Something that lives deep within us that we can not predict nor tell? Would you believe me then? This is the true human nature, the parts we don’t believe. Let me tell you the whole story….
Deep within each being, there exists a force of power. Maybe not obvious to those around them or to themselves, it is dormant there. Consisting of who knows what, only the true humans who have realized this accomplished tapping into this power. These however were in the rarest of cases. These cases were soon contained, killed off to not let anyone else know of this power. Yet, I speak here before you telling you of this. You may wonder, “What can kill a God?”, and I will tell you. Nothing. It is the reality of them killing themselves through overachievement of power. There is some who try to prevent these cases from happening, though.
Called the Night Watch, they work through research to prevent the unwanted cases of the tapped powers. This squadron reaches out and annihilates those who begin to tap through special resources, good or evil. In turn, they keep the peace and stability of the whole human race. Yet, it has come to a problem lately. As people grow more and more ignorant of their untapped powers, the Night Watch has been slowly dispersing. Growing smaller and smaller in number until there is no more, their work seems to be completed. Is it really, though? It seems there is trouble brewing in the distant as of late. With the Night Watch being diminished, I ask of you, will you help? I have told you all there is to know.
