So I hear there is a way to mod PS3's now?

Though sony is doing updates to patch the modded systems. I know I saw a few modded PS3's, but didn't want to believe that someone already found a way to mod them finally?

Ya they cracked the system wide open...damn hackers are going to ruin the gameing community.

Mind you Sony released a patch today to fix the issue, so there taking action now.

ya I was asking because some site that mods Sony stuff has a warning about letting players know NOT to update or their PS3 will break.

I guess if your an offline player modding is worth it. But as an online player I am kinda against that too.

I used to burn games and such, but since I got my 360 I've always bought them new.. Rather support the gaming businesses than to see them close down due to piraters.

your only getting half the value out of you console/games by not using it online. And i know that some people can't afford/or have no access to it. But the people who mod it just for that reason only....come on lol

ya most games are needed to be played online.. but some I find are more better suited as a single play story. Or the online has bugs, exploits or no one is on much. So in that case playing online isn't worth it.

I mean if someone bought say Black Ops just to play it without online play. It would be pretty pointless. But say if someone bought I don't know.... Bourne identity to play online it might not be as fun.

But it seems like majority of game developers take online play into mind. And it increases the replay value too.

BTW is modding your DVD drive to play burned discs checked too?
