I owned it and traded it in, and i'd have to say that it's better than Fallout 3. But not by alot, they are very similar games.

Fallout 3 i got bored 3/4 of the way through the game and same with New vegas... and i don't know why. :bomb:

maybe your not a fan of the fallout gameplay? I know I was a bit frustrated at 1st and then slowly got into it... I hated getting suck in areas like no weapons and trying to fight off a bunch of thugs with guns.. no chance

There's no DLC yet, the 360 will be getting some soon, and the ps3 will follow like it did with fallout 3

The King Of Bandits
Just finished a play through of New Vegas myself and it's really a mixed bag. On the one hand the gameplay hasn't changed much. It really feels like a big expansion for Fallout 3. On top of that, it feels like the game was rushed, and unless you are playing the latest version, than you are going to be plagued with bugs and crashes.

On the other hand, i love the good old western feel. I spent 90 hours on the game this time around (though i'm playing on PC and i picked up tons of mods for it that improved game play by 1000 times at least). I would say it's worth checking out, especially if you liked the Fallout 3. The addition of factions and faction armor was pretty interesting, and some of the skills were streamlined in favor of new skills (guns are all the same skill now i believe, and there is a new skill "survival" which lets you cook stuff). I don't know how it is on any of the consoles though.

And now (a month or so after fusions last post) there is DLC out for it, along with more coming up. "Dead Money" takes place in an abandoned villa + casino combination that is plagued with zombie like creatures. The next DLC coming out is something like "Honest Hearts", no idea what that is about yet though. I included a link to the Honest Hearts page on the Fallout wiki if you are interested in taking a look. There are other resources there that might help you too if you decide to play the game.

I'll probably wait till there is a game of the year edition LOL then I won't have to buy all the DLC's.. they will be included.

Thats what I did with fallout.. got the GOTY edition with all the extra discs for DLCs. I hate downloading DLC's.. like having a disc so I can use it without needing access to net.

Fallout New Vegas was good. I liked 3 a lot better. New Vegas seemed to just be nothing but desert with very little places to explore. Im also going to wait for the GOTY edition before I buy it.
Nice waiting is the way :p

I haven't finished Fallout 3 yet either.. need more time to play! Seems like a long game especially with the DLC's.
