Don Herbert a.k.a Mr. Wizard died on June 12th....
I didn't even know until it was mentioned at the end of The Colbert Report. :( I used to watch Mr. Wizard's World a lot when I was little, though it got boring when I started seeing the same episodes 50 times. I wanted to see new ones, but they stopped making the show in 1993.

Here's the Wikipedia page for the Mr. Wizard shows. There were actually 3 series.

In 1993, children's science show Beakman's World paid homage to Herbert by naming its two penguin puppet characters "Don" and "Herb" after him.

That's cool. RIP
