Having problems with FireFox

As of late, I'm having problems changing tabs in FireFox, as in when I click on a different tab, it sometimes won't open. Sometimes when I'm watching a video on YouTube, it'll be really choppy, until I close out the other tab and it clears up immediately. I'm also noticing that the page scroll thing on my mouse doesn't work sometimes whenever I click it down and move, the page just doesn't want to move.

Is it possible that this is being caused by the current FireFox skin, or is it caused by the browser itself? I don't have access to Internet Explorer 7, as I'm pretty sure this copy of Windows is a bootleg, but if you have any suggestions on alternative browsers to use or have a solution to this, feel free to speak up.

I'm using the default Firefox theme version 2.0, Firefox browser version 2.0.0.2, and I've never heard of it.

Like I said, I can't get IE 7, I'm pretty sure this copy of Windows is a bootleg. I'll try the Mix Tab thing, though. Thanks for the help, guys.

How many processes do you keep open at once?
Have you recently started using any resource hogging processes?
This could be some type of low memory issue.
