Debate Hitler's Doomsday Device

Hi, I have what I think is a cool myth for you show. Have you ever heard of Hitler's doomsday device myth? No, well it goes something like this...
"In a deep quarry 20 miles from Prauge called "Amerika" were, legend or truth has it, Hilter had a crew of scientists build a device which, if the Nazis lost the war, would supposedly destroy the Earth in a dramatic climax.
The device was supposed to have had enough Uranium stored in it to create a nuclear explosion and if the machine was activated it would drill close to the center of the Earth and detonate. Since some scientists believe that the Earths core is made with high amounts of Uranium Hitlers dooms day weapon would have triggered a explosion in or near the earth’s core that at the VERY LEAST vaporized half the planet... at the very least. Obviously, his creation never got a chance to unleash its destruction but it is believed that it still exists some place inside the quarry."

I saw it explored on the discovery channel.. just wondering what people think? :bomb:

i saw teh promos for that episode, i usually catch that show, but missed that episode. I have heard the myths behind that. Hitler thought he had everything working fo rhim and in the event that they would lose teh war, he woudl have it detonated. Porblem is, as teh war went on, his own people (military, scientists) started to turn on him as they witnessed the allied forces desimate germany. hence why hitler and hsi girlffirend or what ever killed themselves. I don't think the project was ever finished though. as the allies closed in faster than Hitler thought.

Woah, i have never heard of that myth before now. Even now i am shaking my head at Hitler because he is just evil to the core.

Yeah, I think they talked about germania.

The said the caves were blocked off in certain area.s Someone made a map and it appears they blocked off a "section" of the cave. This whole sector is totally blocked off.

Also, the explosion and cave ins don't look natural, they look very man made and setup. So it makes you wonder.. why someone would shut down a certain area of the cave?? I mean a HUGE chunk is locked off.. so I assume, they have stuff left there.

Imagine, if you could get in and see? Heck, it could be all ruble after all, but if there are documents of what was to come or the dooms day plans... it would change the world!!

Digging to the center of the earth isn't that big of a problem for an inanimate object. As long as it is very heat resistant it should be fin

there is nothing to worry about. That machine was never completed. even if it was. its so old now, the lapse of time and advance in technology renders that thing usless.

I'm not to worry about the device, but more of what is in that locked up cave. What kinda documents could be found or remaining devices. It just would be cool to see stuff from WW2. See what Hitler was doing... heck what could've been.. if he won? I don't mean it in a good way, but it's cool to know what he had planned.. how the world would've been if the Allied Forces didn't win...
