I wish RAM prices would go down...

Newer applications and gamers are getting more and more demanding of RAM, but it just seems like the price of RAM isn't falling. I was originally going to upgrade my computer's (it's a laptop) RAM from 256 MB to 768MB... but I settled for an upgrade to 512, since a single stick of 512 was over $100. However, it's been a year now, and the price doesn't seem to have fallen. Why is a 1512 MB stick of RAM 3x more expensive than 256MB RAM anyway? You're getting double the RAM for three times the price... what the hell kind of deal is that?

None at all, I would try to find the cheapest RAM sticks possible to upgrade, then maybe mod it to combine into one!

Thats how I have like 5 K RAM....

WTF... other laptops have 512 MB RAM for less than $50. I have to be unlucky enough to have a laptop that a 512 MB stick costs over $100 to buy. Others could get a stick of 1GB for the same price.

ya my cuzinz has 1GB, its wide screen too... I think it had like 80GB HD? dvd player it as nice... I don't need one but it would be cool to have one. Although my PC right now is only a few months old and is pretty fast.
