OK, I'm pretty sure everyone knows of this game. For those who don't, here's a quick summary (Note: summary is actually kinda long):

The first installment of the game, The Legend of Zelda, focuses on A land called Hyrule, which is engulfed in darkness after Ganon, the Prince of Darkness, who takes the Triforce of Power, which bestows great power to the owner. Princess Zelda breaks the Triforce of Wisdom, which Ganon needs to take over, into 8 pieces which are hidden in various dungeons. She then sends her maid, Impa to find a boy who can defeat Ganon. She finds Link, the possessor of the Triforce of Courage, who is then sent to find the 8 pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom, and with it, defeat Ganon and restore peace to Hyrule.

The second game, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, is a continuation of the first game, which begins on Links 16th birthday. He notices a mark on the back of his hand, and he finds Impa, who tells him about Zelda. Impa then gave him a chest, containing 6 crystals. He must restore the crystals, and when he does, he places them in the palace, defeats two monsters, Thunderbird and Dark Link, gets the Triforce of Courage, and the original Zelda awakens.

The third game, A Link to the Past, begins with the story of seven sages who locked Ganon in a dark realm. Agahnim searches for their seven descendants. A different Link gets a message saying that he needs to rescue Zelda from Agahnim, which he does. He is told to get the Master Sword, which can be unlocked after finding 3 pendants. He unlocks it, only to find that Agahnim already opened the dark realm. Link defeats Agahnim, but is sent into Ganons Dark Realm. He has to saves the seven descendants of the sages, including Zelda, and Defeat Ganon. He fights Agahnim one last time, and then fights Ganon, defeating him with a silver arrow, and restoring peace to Hyrule. This game was re-released for the Game Boy Advanced.

The fourth game was Links Awakening. This game does not involve Hyrule, Zelda, or the Triforce. Link is shipwrecked on an island called Koholint Island. An owl tells him to find the 8 instruments of the Sirens. When he does, he goes to the top of a mountain, and plays the Ballad of the Wind Fish. The Wind Fish awakens, and he fights a final nightmare. He plays the instruments again, and he is taken out of the island. This game was re-released for the Game Boy Color.

The fifth game, Ocarina of Time, involved a third Link. He is a child in the beginning, living among the Kokiri. He is told by the Deku Tree that the tree is cursed and dying. he saves the tree from the curse, with the help of a fairy named Navi (Who annoys the hell out of me), but the tree is unable to be saved from death. The tree tells Link that the curse is from a man in black armor, Ganondorf, put the curse on him. Link is sent to see princess Zelda. When he meets her, she tells him that she believes that Ganondorf, the King of the Gerudo, is after the Triforce. Link is sent to find the other 2 crystals, one of which he received from the Deku Tree. He arrives at Death Mountain, home of the Gorons. The Goron leader, Darunia tells Link how Ganondorf blocked the entrance to Dodongo Cavern, which is where the Gorons get food. Link opens the cavern and slays the King Dodongo. Darunia gives Link the spiritual stone of the Gorons, which leaves Link with only one more to find. He goes to Zoras Domain, where their princess Ruto has been taken by Lord Jabu-Jabu. SHe went in on her own free will, and Link enters Lord Jabu-Jabu, who is cursed. He releases the curse, but Ruto is only allowed to give the spiritual stone she has to the person she will marry, and gives it to Link as a symbol of their Engagement, which confuses Link. Link goes to Hyrule, is given the Ocarina of Time, and gets the Master Sword. The game skips a time of seven years, of which, Link is in the Sacred Realm, doing nothing. He is guided by Sheik, a man in appearance, who helps him to find the remaining six sages. After finding the Sages, Saria, his childhood friend; Darunia; Ruto; Impa; Nabooru; Raura; and Zelda, who was disguised as Sheik. Ganondorf captures Zelda, and Link, with the help of the Six sages, defeats Ganondorf, and rescue Zelda. While leaving Ganondorf's castle, Ganondorf transforms into Ganon, who Link defeats. At the end, Link is sent back in time by Zelda and the game ends.

The Sixth game is Majora's Mask which involves the same Link from Ocarina of Time. Link is transformed into a Deku Scrub by the Skull kid while searching for Navi. The Skull Kid takes Epona, but when leaving, leaves behind Tatl, one of his fairy friends. He goes to Termina, an alternate of Hyrule, and meets the mask salesman. He needs to retrieve the Majora's Mask and his Ocarina from the Skull Kid to turn to normal. He finds that the Moon in Termina will crash into the place in 3 days. On midnight of the third day, Link battles the Skull Kid. Unable to get the mask, he manages to retrieve his Ocarina, which he plays the song of time to go back 3 days. He must gain the freindship of 4 giants, who will stop the moon from crashing into Termina. He does, and on th moon, battles the Skull Kid, and gets the Majora's Mask.

I will now skip the next 5 games, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, Four Swords, Windwaker, and Minish Cap, for I don't have the time and effort to write about them.

the Twelfth game was Twilight Princess, the latest Zelda Game.
100 years after Ocarina of Time, a new Link is Living in Ordon Village. He is sent to bring a sword to Hyrule, but him, Ilia, and a kid named Colin are captured. He is sent to the twilight realm, where he becomes a wolf. In the Twilight Realm, he is helped by an imp like creature named Midna, to escape and meet Zelda. Zelda sends him to destroy the Twilight. She tells Link of a man who is a Twili, a race that was banished to the twilight realm. Midna is trying to find a weapon called Fused Shadows to defeat him. You are sent to find the fused shadows with Midna. After finding the weapon, Zant, the king of Twilight, takes it, traps Link in wolf form, and fatally injures Midna. Zelda sacrifices herself to save Midna, and Link is told that he must find the Master Sword to become a human again. He learns that Zant was given power by Ganondorf, and Midna is the true princess of Twilight, not Zelda. He defeats Zant, who is killed by Midna using the Fused Shadows. He then fights Ganondorf, defeats him, and Ganon appears. Midna warps Link and Zelda away, and is defeated by Ganon. Link fights Ganondorf, wins, and Zant kills him. Midna is revived, destroys the entrance to the Twilight Realm, and goes back.
Now that I have written that, Let's discuss the game.

I would have to say that Major Mask was my favorite 1 but it lacked a really good story which Ocrina of Time has but it wasn't that good on other things really.

Then I liked Wind Waker which you become the hero again which is probably Link but what I think was coolest was wide area you could go to and extra bonus things you can earn when you beat game like understand Hyulrian lang and new outfit.

Hmm I cannot agree with you Neo. lol! I never completed Majora's mask because I found it very ridiculous that if you didnt do everything you needed to within the time period of three days then you had to do it over and over untill you were done! I found that annoying.. It's probably my least favorite Zelda game to be honest with you. ^-^

On the other hand Ocarina Of Time is of course my favorite.. It expanded a lot on Zelda including graphics and space. If it weren't for that game.. I would have quit playing Zelda most likely. Everything in that game was so original and put in place so well.

Twilight Princess I am still working on! I love it and I think its a great game in all..but it just doesnt quite give me that spark that OOT did. I'm sure that maybe when I'm finished with it, I will have a more clear view on what my opinions are about it.

My favorite was Ocarina of Time, second Twilight Princess. Mask and Windwaker were the two worst games in my opinion. Ocarina was fun, and had a good story plot, Twilight Princess is the same. Majoras mask was pointless though, and annoying.

On a side note, I've been reminded on how dificult it was to write the summary of those games....

Jing

The King Of Bandits
BLAH!!!!

I have to say that my favoritest was the The SNES ones : D becuase old school is the way to go, and no matter what i would easily pick those over any other ones.... accept for maybe ocarina of time.... i hated windwaker though.

The idea of sailing around in a boat from island to island, hoping you found the right island was just torture. " Whats that!!! I hope i got the right island or i will have to sail all the way across the the ocean to find the right one!"

But mostly, i think that Snes was the best, becuase simply put, it rocked. It had a vast map for an snes, it had a real time battle system, it had a great story line, and it had everything you look for in an adventure game.

I really dont have a least favorite Zelda, if I did, it would probably go to Zelda II for being ridiculously hard. I enjoyed TP and it did a nice job of continuing the Zelda timeline, the crossover with OoT/MM Link also helped out a bit, but my only dislike of the game was that Miyamoto wanted more Puzzle Solving in the game, which there was, but in return, we got 3-hit kill Boss battles.
My Favorites would have to be ALttP, MM, OoT, and TWW.
ALttP set a standard for Zelda games, it was one of the first really epic games out there, and to believe that it was done on a 16-bit system, really outdid itself, especially where the storyline is concerned.
OoT built upon that system and brought it into a 3D world. Although at first some would think of it as a remake of ALttP, it was supposed to be the beginning of the series (at that time) and brought a lot of back story to the characters.
A lot of people didnt enjoy MM, I for one enjoyed it. It was hard, but it made sense to me. You cant see everything in 3 days, the repitition of days allowed you to see every event that occured to the people of termina, and allowed greater involvement and interactions of NPC players.
Wind Waker...a lot of people couldnt get past the games graphics to even give it a chance. I did, and I loved it, the style and events flowed perfectly together, if done in the graphical style of TP, it probably wouldnt have fit so well. TP is supposed to occur Decades after OoT, WW is Hundreds of years after, so the Giant Ocean had some balance. WW had easier dungeons, but the boss battles were more tougher than TP's.
All great games, but the franchise is due for a facelift. The formula has been repeated for 20 years. Although I wouldnt approve of any futuristic advances or giving Link a gun, something does need to be done.

I only have the Ocarina of Time. I like it a lot. It was one of the first games I really enjoyed playing. Everything from the story to the graphics, T'was too cool. But I'm not sure if I ever finished playing it. Maybe I'll go search for it... ummm... Good times.

Link is a More badass character, but the only problem is that Link is only Link..for like 2 games, then its a different link.
LoZ/AoL
ALttP/LA
OoT/MM
OoA/OoS
WW/PH
FS/FSA
then TP and MC are only in 2 game thus far.

I lik Mojaro's mask for the transformations, and to eb honest, he has some cool movement in that one too. If you chase skull kid the right way in the beginning -sword drawn, ready to fight- h actually does flips and cart wheels up the mushroom trees following him. I'm gonna play tomorrow just to see that again :p
