    We started down the trail with:
    10 oxen
    25 sets of clothing
    2000 bullets
    3 wagon wheels
    3 wagon axles
    3 wagon tongues
    1500 pounds of food

April 4, 1848
    We will now travel at a more strenuous pace.

April 5, 1848
    A severe storm caused a delay of 1 day.

April 6, 1848
    Heavy fog.  Lost 1 day.

    We have arrived at the Kansas River Crossing.

April 11, 1848
    The ferry got our party and wagon safely across.
    Heavy fog.  Lost 1 day.

April 13, 1848
    We found an abandoned wagon containing:
    1 set of clothing
    We lost the trail for 1 day.

April 15, 1848
    THAT ONE GUY got lost.  Happily, we found THAT ONE GUY unharmed 5 days later.

April 21, 1848
    We have arrived at the Big Blue River Crossing.

I'd say ford, since that's not so deep, but will it be cheap and screw up? I had that happen a few times.

This is hard to believe, but I was playing once (in an Apple II emulator) and people drowned in 4.5 ft. deep water! I was so damn confused when that happened.
