The Detroit News is reporting that federal officials will be coming to the city of Melvindale to investigate the death of a woman during a fireworks display.
Do not stick you head over an unexploded firework.
Apparently, the commercial grade fireworks were obtained without the proper licensing.
Fireworks were being shot off in the parking lot of a car wash in Melvindale using commercial grade fireworks. One of the 3-inch-wide mortars did not go off, and Danialle Barse stuck her head over it to see why it did not fire.
The firework shot up and exploded in her face. She died shortly after 10pm on Monday night. Her friends and coworkers had to watch in horror since they could not get to her until the 25 shot firework had finished firing. Police reported that her injuries were, "catastrophic." She was pronounced as dead and arrival at the hospital.

it just shows that on haloween/canada day/independence day etc.. = tons of injuries and deaths.. you think they would be nice relaxing days.. but thats when a lot of people get hurt or die...
