<div class='quotetop'></div><div class='quotemain'>The official Playstation Global site lists the PS3 HDD and other components as sold separately

The official Playstation Global site, has a PS3 spec sheet up and interestingly enough the PS3?s various storage media ? including the HDD and memory are described as ?sold separately.? Which leads to the assumption that the PS3 hard drive will not be bundled with the PS3.

Halfway down the Flash-animated page there is a line stating: "Storage / HDD: Detachable 2.5" HDD slot x 1," which really is no surprise. However, when you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you find the obvious footnote which discribes the HDD as sold separately.

So now the question remains; will the PS3 have two SKU?s? One with all the bells and whistles, and one ?core? bundle with the bare necessities?</div>

All I can say is Media over games?I think so...

So the PS3 is going to be expensive as hell, but it's still not going to have a hard drive?! That's just wrong.

well the reason people picked xbox over ps2 mainly was HD space, I mean why pay for memory cards when xbox already has memory built in for you.

The PS3 is gonna use 2.5 HDD standard. That means you can buy whatever you want. Best Buy has 100GB 2.5 HDD's for $150 With smaller ones starting at $75. Sony isn't gonna make any money off of it.

2.5 isnt jack crap but atleast it's better than the 360 basic that comes with practically nothing
