RIAA attacking radio stations

They've decided that they don't get enough money, so they want money from radio stations now. Even though...

Why isn't it clear to the government that the RIAA is a corrupt organization based on greed?
They don't deserve to have any credibility in any court.

Because the RIAA and the Government are both corrupt and Ted Stevens probably thinks the RIAA is good.

Canada has the CRIA, which isn't as bad, but comes close sometimes.
But I guess the real difference is that the Canadian government seems to have more sense.
