RIAA's final tab for Capitol v. Foster: $68,685.23

RIAA spends thousands to obtain $300 judgment

Hmmm... maybe the greedy RIAA scumbags will bankrupt themselves? Though this is all probably nearly pocket change to them. Still, the second article proves that they're a corrupt organization. They went through that much trouble and spent thousands just to force a struggling single mother to pay $300. While that's much better than screwing her over by $529,500, it's still terrible. Not to mention that they probably targeted here just because of the fact that she's a struggling single mother. Fortunately, she's a smart single mother... so her lawyer was able to drop that $529,500 down to $300. The RIAA should have just dropped it completely though.

Exactly. Does the RIAA make you really angry too? I don't know what the similar RIAA-like organization is in the UK, but the RIAA seems to be able to influence other countries too.
