The warning from mom and dad about swallowing seeds turns out to be true.A Russian man who ingested a tiny seed turns out to have been carrying an inch-long fir seedling in his lung.
Twenty-eight-year-old Artyom Sidorkin went to a hospital in his hometown in central Russia last week complaining of chest pain.
Doctors x-rayed his chest and feared the worst when they spotted what they thought was a tumor.
Sidorkin was admitted to a cancer center but when the surgeon performed a biopsy, a few tender green needles poked out.
Doctors think Sidorkin inhaled the seed and it somehow took root.
They're preserving the surrounding lung tissue for further study.

dude... what did they do with the rest of his lung!? they're studying his lung tissue around the seed... so they just stole a chunk!?

Actually for a lot of tests they do this.. take a small portion of a lung or what not... usually you can heal and grow that part back, but if you wanna live.. then you gotta go through with it.....
