Military Madness
It's a turn-based strategy game for the Turbo Grafx 16 (a system that probably none of us have ever had) slightly similar to Advance Wars, but with some added strategy elements and no money. And it's on a honeycomb-like grid instead of squares. Oh fuck... I know there was a PSP game released like this soon after the PSP came out. I need to look it up.

I first played a Military Madness game on the Playstation, actually. Nectaris: Military Madness. I don't think too many copies were made, but I managed to get one. It's fun, but it's hard as hell. Definitely worth at least a try though.
I should put it on my PSP sometime... since I never really did finish it.
For anyone with a Wii, I believe Military Madness is available on the Virtual Console.
