Why are some programming languages overly complicated?

Well windows easaly accepts Linux.Mac on the other part gives you a few problems with memory.

Linux not harmful to your programs so dont worry.

I've just heard a bunch of horror stories about partitioning gone wrong and it's made me cautious.

Well then dont use Linux if you are worried.

I would recommend DOS only if you are an expert programmer or if you have used it before.

Well... I think maybe I'm going to go with Visual Basic since it slightly resembles Basic.

I don't understand anything about coding or programming. It's a language above my level of understanding. I've tried to learn it but it wasn't easy for me, I had to quit.
