Brave mongrel survives horrifying crossbow attack

A brave mongrel was twice shot in the head by callous thugs - with a crossbow
Amazingly, the friendly brindle mongrel, named Beau by nurses at the veterinary surgery, survived the vicious attack which left two crossbow bolts embedded in her skull. It is thought Beau, who has only just been taken out of intensive care after a major two-hour operation, was fired at by two disgusting yobs at point blank range.

why attack the dog when it's just as easy to shoot the owner in the face?

It's pretty messed up, but i want to know how this dog is considered brave? It didn't jump in front of someone to save them or anything, it just got shot.

I guess they mean brave as in taking the few shots and surviving through it.. I mean, Gaara, imagin you being shot 3 times.. and still you survive through the pain.. through the time it takes to get to a hospital, through the surgery etc... not a easy thing to go through...

I don't find that brave though. I find it more of a "wtf how am I still alive" thing. I mean, it takes no bravery to get shot, just some sick freak with a crossbow.

I'm against all kinds of violence but in this case I'm sorry to say that I so agree with Jingsy. People who do that sort of thing deserve to be severely punished.

Oh, and I think that holding on for dear life after being severely injured is an act of bravery. Otherwise she would just have given up to stop the pain.
