How can we make this place fun!?

I'll admit it. We're kinda screwed right now, but it's never too late.

What the hell can we do to make this place more fun?! Does anyone know of any (free) amazing plugins that could add lots of fun to the forum? If it's fun, then maybe more people will want to stay and others will join!

Well, I'll start a chat tonight and we'll talk about this. I'd think putting the name out there more by digging it might get about 6 people here.

I say put in a picture section and maybe make it the game version of Leoville Town Square.

well look at it this way.. WHAT do we have that would want a member to come back for more?

technically.. nothing really... this doesn't even seem like a gaming forum anymore.. which is why people would visit.. because of "GAMING"

Yeah, we don't talk about games..

We need to get rid of everything except for Games, The Break Loose and General forums. We could keep Ourtube just for Game videos and have a break loose video forum . And VIP boards and Member boards. And maybe technology for help and stuff.

This board has become too non-gaming.

Ok these are the general boards I think we should have:

We should keep All of the special boards, and add the VIP section to them plus the Userboards.

Under General: Lounge, Break Loose, Polls, OurTube

Entertainment: Gaming, Computers, Other (Other being Music and Tv shows.)

Under gaming put the Flash theater as Web Games, and have GameTube be full of game trailers and other videos. And put Reviews in with Gaming.

In computers make a Call for Help! Section for computer help, A news section for it and Maybe make a section for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Just my idea.

we need gaming news too.. what the latest game is.. console chat.. which we don't have.. we don't have ANYTHING gamers would want or need.. which is why they don't waste their time here...

No, no... this isn't supposed to be "GAMERS ONLY". It never was. Anyone is welcome. Gaming is just a... mild theme. The forum is called Nova Gamers Forums... and that's not going to change just because we talk about other things.

if I was a guest and saw a link to www.gamersforums.net I'd be thinking oh cool gaming stuff.. I arrive and see NOTHING of the gaming sort.. no reviews, no pics, no latest games, no game news.. WHAM i'm gone see ya!

Gimpy: If you read my plan and set up of the forum, you might notice that I am saying that we could group in the Gaming board more Reviews and News. Plus Youtube/ Geevee videos of game videos.

True.. I agree. You should make it all gaming with a forum full of general sub forums.

I disagree. Sure this is Nova Gamers forum but still, most of our posts are from the break loose section and Lounge. Do gamers play all day? No, they sit back and talk with any friends they have and have fun. Sure this is a gaming forum, but don't make the other forums hard to get to. Have two or three sections. Administration, Gaming, and Fun and Games (General). Most gaming forums have different sections, and this is a gaming forum. Don't make it seem like "THIS IS A GAMING FORUM AND YOU HAVE TO POST IN THE GAMING FORUM ALL OF THE TIME" Gamers don't like to be told what to do.

well, we have a bunch of sub-forums for games (which I think need reorganization)... and we might add some more soon maybe.

I'm thinking we need a bunch of fun-based forum plugins.... but I don't know all of them.

And... it's still giving me an error when I try to add a banner to a skin.

Yeah, I was trying to fix that, but I got the same error I get when I try to add a banner. Just use Centura_x for now.

What I think you should do is, Turn the forum offline until you have got EVERYTHING done and how you like it, turn it back on, mass email everyone and start from scratch... I think you should do it.

But wait... what difference does it make if the forum is offline? I think we can do all the stuff we need to do while it stays online. :weird:
