I'm not joking. On her way to work, she was hit while trying to cross the road to the post office. She's okay though... kinda. She's not uninjured, but her life isn't in any danger. And it could have been worse. Unfortunately.... I don't know how it's going to affect Christmas... especially for her.

Well... I guess she is hurt, but I just said she's okay cause her life isn't in danger. But she has a separated pelvis, I think. so she's going to be laying down a lot... probably in the hospital for a while, but I don't know for sure.

No. It wasn't a hit & run and the driver wasn't on a cell phone or anything as far as I know. My mom was almost late for work and It was dark... so she didn't see the car and the driver didn't see her. The driver stopped to help, I think. Then the police were there for a report or whatever. I HOPE she can leave before Christmas... but who knows yet...

The surgery isn't 100% certain yet, but my guess is that it's going to happen. She should be home in about 2-4 weeks and probably on crutches. So unless she doesn't need the operation after all, then she won't be home for Christmas.

cause they said she didn't need it. it should heal over time.
They probably have to bring a hospital bed into the living room though. And we might get rid of the old couch that's falling apart.

yeah... and she's going to be using a wheelchair for a bit too, until she can walk fine. It's a good thing she has tons of sick leave from work.
