Yes, like the title says. PS3 Slim was released today for a cheap price. $299.99.

Well, it wasn't released, but ANNOUNCED today from Sony. Everyone was waiting for price cuts as well.

The PS3 slim will be out in Sept. It has a 120 GB HD and apparently has a lower chances of overheating.

Hopefully the ps3 slims are of good quality? :?

PS3's and overheating? I can't remember ever reading about that.. and never heard other PS3 owners talk about it =o
Tbh, my PS3 is standing a bit cramped at the moment and has no signs of overheating, even with the 32 degrees weather.

Well I noticed 3-4 people on a sales forum had their PS3's die after 2 or 3 years. And they are out of luck as well. Who knows, maybe they put them through rough use?

Either way, the new PS3 slim takes up less power consumption. That means less heat from the console

Hmm well the PS3's can get quite hot indeed, thats true, but I've never heard of getting TOO hot, alas overheating.
Anyway I dont really like the design of the new slim ones...

I was very comfortable with playing on my Playstation 2 when this PS3 Slim came out. I never care about buying it and I never did.

I played on all Playstation consoles. I enjoyed my time with playing on PS3 Slim. It's a bit of a frustrating thing that I'm yet to get my hands on my own PlayStation 5 but I will definitely get it soon.

Playstation 3 Slim looked nice. I love how simple it was designed. I hate having my console too big and it's why I liked the PS3 slim.

I really can't believe it's been thirteen years since the PlayStation 3 slim was released, I believe has stopped supporting the PlayStation 3 since they already announced they soon stop providing support for PlayStation 4.
