Infamous, I don't know about the 'gangs' in Arizona, because when I lived there I was too young to know about any of that stuff..but some of the gang activity up here might be different. I know someone who took quite a brutal beating because some gang decided that it would be a good idea to go beat some random person up at night time. What justifies this? We all have bad things happening to us, not all of us join a gang. I don't have anything against the people that go spray painting and such, but the people that kill others and beat up others (especially random people) are scumbags. I hear about it on the news a lot..it's possible they exaggerate some things. Still, these people are stupid. If one of them came to me seeking help to get out of it..would I help them? Yes. Definitely.
I'm not one to pass judgement. If I see some guy that's in a gang, I don't think any less of him. If he does an action I strongly disagree with, I'll pass judgement. I don't think gang members are druggies, rappers, etc like you said. I'm not ignorant on the subject.
