What is the meaning of life, the very thing that connects with existence. I often wonder what it is, this very thing that sustains us a individuals to the reality. As a wisemen known as Phoneix would say. "We live to eat, we eat to live, its called the basic conception of survival of the fittest as proposed by Charles Darwin a stirring Naturalist of his time period. It is indeed a rather interesting proposal as it is true, infact so much that you and I do the same thing to live everyday of our lives. Now would you doubt the fact that this is true?"

._. What do you think, this comes from so many different perspectives.

The meaning of life is different for every person. In my own personal veiw, I believe it to be knowledge. I live to learn. Be it mundane details, or sophisticated and well-versed theorys and ideas.

If the meaning of life were explainable with mere words then everyone would know it. Its not something that can be discovered if your mind is not open, and if your heart is not hungry for the truth, and willing to accept it. There is only one meaning of life; granted there are many oppinions of what it should be, but there is only 1. There can only be one. Anyways I am not about to get into it right now because my post would be at least 2000 words and I have to get to bed soon. Some other time perhaps.

Peace.

And I bet you do too for posting spam. =D

Anyways, from all kinds of literature that you read, including religion, it seems that none of us have really come to an actual resolution as to what THE meaning of life (as opposed to A meaning of life) is. Thus it can be said that there isn't an absolute meaning of life. The meaning of life, or rather, the purpose of your own existence is something you choose for yourself. No one can convince you otherwise. For some people, they discover who and what they are, and find purpose in life, and make one for themselves. Some people don't, and are left clueless as to why they're still living. It's not entirely a bad thing to have no purpose or meaning in life; perhaps you exist now to find that purpose or meaning, and build the rest of your life around it, once you have found it. Of course, events in life can always change the original purpose you had in mind. And for some people, it won't.

Jing

Who says there has to be a meaning? I don't understand why we can't just be here? It's because people are always looking for a complicated answer. Well here it is, the simple answer you all refuse to accept because of it's simplicity. We are here, because we are here. There is no all superior meaning to life, Just because the question is complicated doesn't mean the answer has to be complex.

However that is just my opinion. Stryfe had a good opinion too though.

Most of the things that people come up with for the meaning of life I don't agree on. Just like Jing says. We're here because we're here. It's not that hard to understand. Sure, there is religion. But that just tells you how to live your life and what will come to you if you live a certain way. Like christianity. If you live right for God you go to heaven. If you don't then you go to hell. I think that we were just put here for no reason. We choose the way we live without meaning at all.

Aww, don't say that. Sure we all have problems and sometimes it seams like nothing matters anymore but life can be fun to. I think I agree with Ghost, we are just here to live and die in the end. And after death I think that probably nothingness is what awaits us.

That's what I fear, if there's nothing after death than I want to live as much as I can while I'm alive. I'll have all the fun I am allowed to. So Life for me is fun without regrets.

Yes, I agree with that. And I try not to worry about tomorrow. Life is today, so I always have fun... even when I shouldn't, lol. I don't like to think about what'll happen tomorrow. Life for me is just having all the fun in the world... today.

Life is what you make of it, to give it a concrete foundation is what gives it form and makes it compelling. Your not bound by fate, but your own mind, actions, free will as well as personal responsibilty. Take charge of what you do and leave your tracks in the sand before you fade from the planet as death is the only definite thing in this world. For everything that has life eventually dies.

Alright, i'm gonna go into another shpeel like all the other, saying the exact same thing but in different words but my opinion needs to be heard.

I myself believe that there is no one true meaning of life that exists for everyone. The meaning of life will differ from person to person, depending on beliefs, past events, current view on life, and an assortment of other things of the sort. My personal meaning of life is to follow my heart, do what I feel like doing, don't give a damn about what others think, be laid back and relaxed all the time (well mostly all the time). Whereas, as Ziddari said, the meaning of life for him is the pursuit of knowledge. Life's what you make it, as you said Afroman, and everyone will make their life different by their opinions and emotions and actions, as you also said. That is the underlying basis of the maning of life. So for all you people out there who will spend the rest of their lives trying to figure out what the true meaning of life on this planet is, there isn't one. So find yours and let everyone else find theirs, and let them all live their lives happily and in peace until they die.

There are 2 answers that can be brought up with this, the answer to the meaning of YOUR life or, the answer to the meaning of ALL life.
individually:
I say life has no true meaning. The meaning of life is only what you make of it. The meaning of life that you come up with exists for you and you alone. Your meaning of life is your purpose for living, and the reason you have not committed suicide. The meaning of your own individual life is only your life's events piled up into the creation of what you live for and the life style you live by.

i'll finish up later i gotta go some where
